Solar Panel Protection Terms & Conditions

1. Scope of Work
MMRCS will install professional bird-proofing mesh to the perimeter of the solar panel array as detailed within the customer's quotation.
The service includes the removal of accessible nesting material, debris and the application of a disinfectant treatment beneath the solar panels where appropriate.
2. Access Requirements
The customer is responsible for providing safe and suitable access to the property.
Where additional access equipment or scaffolding is required, this will be discussed and quoted separately before work commences.
MMRCS reserves the right to postpone works during adverse weather conditions where safety may be compromised.
3. Payment Terms
A deposit may be required to secure a booking.
The remaining balance is due upon completion of the works unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. 5-Year Mesh Warranty
MMRCS provides a 5-Year Mesh Warranty covering the mesh installation against detachment or failure resulting from workmanship or installation defects.
Should an installation-related fault occur within five years of the installation date, MMRCS will inspect the issue and carry out any necessary remedial work.
5. Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
• Damage caused by third-party contractors.
• Roof repairs, roof replacements or maintenance work carried out after installation.
• Solar panel servicing, inspections, removals, upgrades or repairs by other companies.
• Damage caused by persons accessing the roof after installation.
• Storm damage, extreme weather events, falling objects or accidental impact.
• Deliberate tampering, removal or alteration of the mesh system.
• Defects relating to the roof structure, roof coverings or solar panel system.
Where third-party works have been carried out on the roof or solar panel system, the warranty may be considered void unless MMRCS has inspected the installation following completion of those works.
6. Solar Panel Systems
MMRCS uses a non-penetrative fixing system designed to avoid drilling into solar panel frames.
MMRCS accepts no responsibility for pre-existing faults, defects or performance issues relating to the solar panel system.
7. Limitation of Liability
While bird-proofing mesh significantly reduces the risk of birds nesting beneath solar panels, MMRCS cannot guarantee against bird activity in areas outside the protected perimeter or elsewhere on the property.
8. General
By accepting a quotation and booking works with MMRCS, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
MMRCS reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
